Gulf Coast Chrysalis

Wednesday, January 09, 2008

On Monday morning there was a tragic car accident. Two girls were driving back to school when a semi-truck ran a red light and struck their car. One of the girls died at the scene and the other is in critical condition at a local hospital. The girl who died was Meghan Kelly and her twin sister Melissa Kelly is in the hospital. Meghan and Melissa went on Chrysalis Flight #29. Please keep them and their family in your prayers. Below are links to the news paper articles and a facebook group that is keeping us updated.

Don't Forget!

There is a men's Emmaus walk this weekend, so it would be really awesome if some of the Chrysalis community could show their support!

Also there is a Chrysalis Board Meeting on Sunday, September 9 at Trinity UMC at 1:30pm.

Hope all is well and hopefully there will be more to post soon!

Much Love,

Sarah

My Help Comes From the Lord

The girls team met for the first time on this past Sunday afternoon and our Lay Director Lynn McEwen introduced us to the theme: My Help Comes From the Lord, which Lynn explained comes from Psalm 121:1-2:

1 I lift up my eyes to the hills—

where does my help come from?

2 My help comes from the LORD,

the Maker of heaven and earth.
